E85 top flashing red

Replaced my top canvas last fall. While stripping out old and moving top back and forth to get access got the red flashing light.
It was early on in fitting so I'm assuming I've dislodged something near header or broken wire somewhere.

Foxwell scanner shows
22 CVM Switch, cowl panel unlocked short circuit to ground.

Pulled top and inspected all wiring. I replaced the harness at the top cowl panel (with the two hall effect sensors) but still getting a constant flashing red.

Currently have top just sitting in car with all wiring connected.
Anyone with any suggestions on how to find where possible wire is broken?

Check the two small 1cm cube sensors on the left hand hinge are in place. I suspect you’ve dislodged the down sensor (lower one)

I checked those last fall and they were ok. (Just getting car out of storage for spring)
I'll lift top out again and double check (tomorrow hopefully) but I think it is in place. ( can it move away far enough to not activate without breaking off tab?

Top is just sitting in car since last fall so shouldn't take too long to get it out.

Top is out on the garage floor. Sensors look ok and are in place.
Visually inspected wiring along length (except for the foot or so hidden.)

Tried 12v on both the latches and the hydraulic motor and both operate fine.
I guess next step is pull the harness out and replace it. ??

Open to suggestions.

Still have a flashing red light and non-operational top but different code.

To update from last month...
Work got in the way and had to leave town for a month. So I bought a wiring harness while waiting. Got home and I just installed last night. Went to try it... Still flashing red but now have

"1f cvm switch cowl panel locked short circuit to ground"

I can't find much on this one. I'll take roof out again today. Shouldn't be any pinched wires I haven't moved the top yet. But I'll double check. I'm assuming it is the top lock because I can watch the live data and unlocked shows but won't show locked when operated by hand.
