E85 to E89 ?

I.e. Old/grey/have kids whatever.

For now go and buy a Cayman/Boxster.

E89? Might upset some people on here but it's never been a favourite of mine and I'd never consider buying one. It's just so ugly looking.

Audi? Never heard of any problems that are any more or less than you'd get with BMW's with the volume of cars sold.

Fiesta ST?
Focus ST?
Vauxhall whatever it might be recent sporty type model?

So something cheap with a bit of go in it was why Vauxhall / Ford were suggested as they'll be cheap to run and maintain.

And also, the E89 is really, really fucking ugly.

How about an e64 or F12 6-series... Seems to tick all of the boxes... You can have your BMW convertible, And it's sporty And it has 4 seats!!
