E85 to E86 Sound Generator Diff ?

Hi.. I have a 2004 E85 3.0i Roadster and removed 1 piece of foam from its sound generator and love the sound from it.

Did the same to 2006 E86 3.0si Coupe and the sound was nothing like the Roadster so I removed both foams and yuck didn't like the sound at all so put one back.

There's no comparison between the two as for the sound I get in the cabins.
Is this because of the different engines? or is the Coupe's sound generator faulty ?

Have a look at it to see if it is faulty...

I imagine the difference is due to the different engines.
