E85 Strut Brace

I thought that an E46 strut brace should fit a Z4 but this doesn't seem to?

It doesn't have a slot for the camber pin, and even if it did bolt down there looks like there's not enough clearance between it and the engine?

There's loads of this style on eBay, but not a single picture of one actually fitted to an E46 but it's used so it must fit something. Just not sure what's going on!

Alternatively, does anyone know of one that actually fits that's not £££?

For a start it's the wrong way around.

Yip. Fitted the wrong way round as Haro stated.

And just remove the camber pins.

Or just drill a hole for the camber pins to go through it

If you fit it backwards, the bracket on the top mount fouls on the bracket for the diagonal braces.

And just remove the camber pins.

Still no joy.



The clearance to the engine is the real issue.

I don't know anything about the part, but when they said it's the wrong way round I don't think they ment turn it upside down more just rotate it 180 degrees... I might be wrong though!

Upside down it just goes even lower so no chance of clearing the engine.
