The presence of Nav will never be a negative. The older and more "old fashioned" the dash the more desirable it becomes. Think of inkey$ M Coupe for example. The interior is really old school and all the more desirable because of it. Or think of some of the classics of the 60's and 70's. The dated interiors are part of their charm because they transport you back to that time when you sit in them. Don't forget as well that the Nav is usually accompanied by the better sound system and is also often accompanied by intravee too (not in my case though). So even though the primary use of the screen may have been overtaken by technological advances it is still a useful thing to have and people can marvel at it like we do now at those old digital watches with red numbers that only came on when you pressed the button on the side of them!
I disagree, if you look at older Jag XKR's and Aston DB7's for example the more desirable cars and the ones that hold their value are the ones without nav. There's a couple of reasons, one they look naff and spoil the lines of the dashboard. The second is because it costs a fortune to try and fix the electrics (most go wrong) as you can no longer get the parts. Most Nav systems are integrated throughout the whole car, making even more of a nightmare.
If I was looking for a classic 30 year old car, I'd certainly avoid one with 30 year old gadgets in it that I can no longer get the parts for.
