E85 Start up problem. ( fluffing)

When I fire up the car, then put foot on the brake the engine fluffs slightly, raising and lowering the revs.
OK once warm, only does it from stone cold.
I have been told it could be an air leak on the brake servo pipes.
Not a major issue but annoying and if its an easy fix would be good to get it sorted.
 
Check out the rubber pipe to the brake servo and the connection on the servo where the pipe plugs into it, sounds like you have an air leak if it happens when the servo is activated. A smoke test would reveal any leaks in the vacuum system if you can't spot them by a visual check. Not unknown for the diaphram inside the servo to go bad, that would be less likely than a bad pipe or connection, how is the cars braking for feel?
 
If not a split pipe then it will be new airflow meter required. Never worked out why the two are connected!
