E85 Sport steering wheel

Made a schoolboy error! Let the missus sit in the 2.5si! Now she's noticed that the sport steering wheel is much thicker than the one in hers and wants one!
Looked at Mewant covers, but don't really make it much fatter.
So it's a Royals retrim or ask if anyone on here has one they would be prepared to sell?

So: looking for a fat-rimmed sports steering wheel please. No controls, just bog-standard.

I am sending a wheel to Royals for re-trimming in the next week or so. So will be using my spare wheel on the Z until it comes back. Once it is back you are more than welcome to borrow the spare so you can send yours to Royals, if you decide to go along that road.

Hi Ian, thanks for the offer. If I went that route I'd probably borrow the one off the freeleeta now that's back on the drive, but thanks anyway.
I would like to know how much your Royals bill is though if you don't mind?

I am just at the ‘trying to contact’ stage to confirm what I want done and to make arrangements to send my wheel. As soon as I have a firm price I’ll share it with you Martin.

Yes but it’s worth a smack round your ears rather than paying out for MSport seats, especially if she had demanded the fully electric version. Flesh heals ( eventually). Damage to your wallet, now that’s another matter.
I managed to speak to Jack from Royals this afternoon. His quote for: plain nappa leather top and bottom, perforated leather on the sides, MSport coloured stitching and additional 1mm of padding, which takes thickness to close to MSport wheel thickness is £200.

Now that sounds almost exactly what I want, except yellow stitching to match the callipers and strut braces.

Funny how the list of wants is always bigger than the bank balance!

How true Martin. As we have often said this Forum doesn’t help. I keep discovering things I didn’t know I wanted. I thought I had just about sorted everything and then it seemed a good idea to look for an original radio for my Z. At first I was happy with the aftermarket Sony but as the days go by it irritates me more and more and spoils the look of the dash. So it goes on (and on)👍
