Pair of genuine BMW side covers in excellent condition. OIMG_3374.jpegIMG_3375.jpegIMG_3376.jpegne of the receptacle tabs has broken off but it still clips in place with the second tab and the covers are well retained when fitted with no chance of coming off. £150 plus post.

I think the universe is giving you price feedback but I may be wrong. Two bits of plastic that are a pain to install and uninstall on every lower or raise of the roof? I woul like to own them but not at anywhere that price. As usual someone else may feel otherwise.

I think I paid £250 for my set! No broken tabs though.
Doesn’t look like your broken tab will be an issue at all as you said.
These are quite rare and NLA from bmw.
@Finnie any chance you’d be so kind as to scan the instruction sheet to me?😊

I would try them on Facebook market place and some of the Z4 pages, I sold some of these earlier this year and did not struggle

That was a few years ago. I sense the times they are a-changing.
Man that sounds good. There are so many E85 parts that are wildly overpriced, including these stupid little covers. I got them with my car when I bought it and only used them once.

I can imagine having a set in California or similar where, like this summer, I left the roof down for several days straight. But the idea of parking up with the weather looking a bit iffy and first having to get out of the car to remove them seems like hard work. Plus I'd like as not forget they were there and break something the first time I got home.

I do wonder how many people actually ever use them and how many people regret buying them at real money prices[1] to only use them once.

[1] I'd only pay about £20 for a set tops.

Love mine, paid similar money, they finish it off when the roof is down, for all the drama queens, on the odd occasion i have forgot, the roof just stops, no hassle, nothing broken, just that sinking feeling when you think your roof is faulty for a split second.

I think they will sell, but your timing is a bit poor, its the wrong time of year

Thanks for the comments and opinions. I think I'll hang on to them for a bit as someone will want them eventually at a fair price. Mine look cheap as chips compared to these new ones on ebay.

I am sure they do finish it off and they do look nice but it would be a bit of an issue stopping in traffic and running to the back of the car to remove them when it starts to rain so the roof could go up. The silly software that does not let you raise the roof until stopped is bad enough.

The reason that they normally (or at least used to) sell for so much is that they are relatively very rare and the fact that there are generally very ‘extra accessories’ available for the E85 for people to lavish on their cars and get ‘one over’ on the next guy! 🙂
They used to go for over £300 easily!
