What exactly is the adjustment tool and its purpose?

Sure they are aftermarket but a 3d print would be much cheaper than these. If some kind soul scanned parts like these which are nla all of us could benifit globally at our own printing cost. We should actually try to formalize something like this where a few hundred of us contribute 1 or 2 $ to get the scan done and we all benifit. I would be all over that,

In theory it’s a good idea, but practically I think you’d give up after getting maybe a dozen signed up, only imo but I think you’ll have zero chance getting 50 to agree let alone a few hundred, it’s been mooted on here many times to no avail.

If anyone is local to the Midlands & can scan at my home, I have a genuine set that could be scanned. I also think there is a market for the lower M sport outer steering wheel trim too.

All the others are the same ( apart from the rubber finish) and a standard wheel retrim with increase width would then give an immaculate new wheel for the price of a shabby one.

GLWS by the way

They are too big to fit the bed of most domestic 3D printers. You probably have to do it in three pieces somehow. The curved shape would also mean they'd need a heck of lot of support to print properly.

What’s your thoughts on the steering wheel lower trim?

The actual trim piece that fits on the wheel itself? You’d have to resin print it to get an acceptable surface finish for that application. It’d just about fit in a home printer I think.

Yes. The bit with the M badge. That and maybe the front spoke covers as they are prone to cracking on MFSW versions too

I've never done resin printing but i think it'd be possible with the right .STL file. You could probably use one of those online services like PCBWAY as well.

Will you be printing the hold down fixings too? They are a bit fragile so would be good if they could be made available on their own.
I have made a complete redesign, so the parts won't fit the original cover. However, if there is interest in a replacement lock it might be something I can look into.
