E85 Roofliner

My E85's roofliner came unstuck on the right rear corner (in other words in the boot). The plastic bracket on the liner is clearly cracked and came loose. Any advice how/where it is attached and how to re-attach it albeit in a creative way?

There are repair kits available for sagging liners. I have also seen somebody drill new holes to repair the plastic sections that go from one side to the other.

I've done this. Super easy to do assuming you have the torx drivers to remove it.

Just need to open your roof halfish way and disassemble the front plastic parts. Lining will then fold down and you can just drill new holes in the plastic and shift the screws across.

My problem is different: you can see through the rear window how the roof liner is hanging loose because the bracket in the very right corner (next to the rear plastic tray in the boot) came loose. I'll post a photo in a moment

The photos illustrate how the roof liner came loose from the right rear tension line. I was hoping there would be a way to fix it

Fixed it: got high strength upholstery thread, and a strong needle. Threaded it through the seam along the edge with the remainder of the plastic bracket. Then assumed the most uncomfortable position known to mankind and used a round needle to thread it back onto the tension line. Might be a few mm off from where it was initially but nobody would be the wiser

I wish I could have pulled it a bit tighter, but the angles were simply impossible to work at.
