Hi Guys,

Just had the motor/pump for roof mechanisim changed by my local garage there but the programming is off on it now..
Seems like locks arent workign right for the roof, and when pressing the button to open it, it goes half back and then stops and then kinda goes again.
Windows dont go down initally either, or back up.. Bit of a mess really.

Do we have to get it programmed again or is there a way to reset it fully back to factory settings..
Pardon my ignorance with this. The garage lads doing the work havent done one of these changes before.. I didnt have a lot of choice around me either. Even the local bmw dealers hadnt changed one in about 10 years..

Motor sounds good now and the locking is working, its just it all seems out of sequence..

Any advice would be appreciated.. Its a 04, e85.

Thanks

roof should not need any programming as far as I am aware.. its more likely something is off with the replacement.. the windows can and will need a reset if the battery has been disconnected...turn on the ignition without starting engine, close window and release at the bottom for a sec, then press down again and hold for ten seconds, release then raise the window, release for a sec again and hold it back in the up position for 10 seconds, turn off ignition and repeat for the other window

Yep, the above process will sort your windows out. As for the roof, sounds like the hydraulics aren’t bleeding properly (its a self bleeding system but sometimes takes a few cycles). Activate it a few times over the next werk or so to see if it comes good. If not you need to pull the motor again and check fluid level.

Thanks Guys..

Havign issues evening opening it.. It seems to stay locked in place at times.. Could be the sensors for the locks aswell i suppose.

Will see what i can do, if not i'll just have to let the guys in the garage figure it out.

Thanks for the replies.
