E85 retro fit wind deflector?

Just wondering if anyone has fitted the factory wind deflectors to a car without them. Is it possible? My car has an after market strap on deflector which is ok, but not as neat.

Totally do’able but it’s not cheap, realoem has the part numbers you need, though I’m sure someone will point you towards the right bits soon enough.

I agree with you in that the oem one looks very neat, and worth it in my opinion.

This is the parts diagram for the facelift E85 which i understand is exactly the same as the pre-facelift: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=BU52-EUR-03-2006-E85-BMW-Z4_30si&diagId=54_0314

Definitely do-able. I've seen a how-to on the forum somewhere. edit: linked here: https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=101934
You don't need to have the specific roll bar covers, so long as you buy the brackets and get a few self tapping screws you can fit it fine.

As others have said it's expensive, but the best option. Can even sell the deflector at the end of ownership if you want to recoup some costs?

Thanks for the information, I did find a very good write up after posting my question, but I'm put off by the parts cost, especially if I needed replacement hoop covers. May put this upgrade on hold for now, it is just for a neater look and my tyres are getting ready for renewal so that's a priority.
