E85 remote locking failure

Fairly easy. Get a torch and familiarise yourself with where the plugs and nuts are first. Unbolt the bracket and lower it down. Easier than getting the module off the bracket.

That would be very kind, thanks! I'm going to do this at the same time as doing a
small refurb of the front end so the car's not going to be off the road on two separate occasions. Got all the parts ordered, should be here by this weekend. Thanks again for all your help with this.

@Billbob10 Did you ever solve your central locking problem? If so, how?

I've finally got around to having my GM5 module refurbed. It's solved the issue with my passenger door not unlocking, but it hasn't solved the problem with the central locking not working with the key buttons (on either of my keys).
I'm now thinking it could be a wiring problem and I'm going to take it to a local auto electrician for help. Anyone on here got any more ideas??

I've finally got around to having my GM5 module refurbed. It's solved the issue with my passenger door not unlocking, but it hasn't solved the problem with the central locking not working with the key buttons (on either of my keys).

Would be a bit of a coincidence, but if the GM5 is ok then it could be the key battery.

EDIT! Hang on a mo! Did you try sync-ing the keys again? Sometimes that is needed.

1. Sit in the car, all doors, bonnet and boot closed.
2. Turn ignition to position 2, then back to off, then remove the key from the ignition.
3. Press and hold the Unlock button on the key, making sure you keep it held down. Now press the Lock button 3 times. You should hear a clunk from the door locks.
Repeat step 3 for each key. (You do not need to do steps 1 or 2 again)

Turn ignition on/off. Test keys.

Please note that if you only do one key then the other one will lose it's programming. Must do both straight one after the other.

Thanks [ref]enuff_zed[/ref], I did do that but I had the bonnet open at the time, I've since tried it again after seeing your reply and.... It still doesn't work! I've also tried the other method of turning the key three times to no avail, so I'm still looking for the solution. I'm charging both keys again on a wireless charger to see if that makes any difference. I need to check the keys to see if they are transmitting a signal.

I rechecked the fuses and it turns out that Fuse 30, "Thiefproofing System", had blown. Replaced that and reprogrammed the keys and we're back in action.

Don't know how I missed that for all this time. Relieved it's over. Now onto the next niggle. Thanks for all your help!
