E85 Rear Diffuser

Due to how I bought the car, I've got a good contrast of black and grey going on. As you can see in the pics below, the front and side are well sorted (just got to do the roll hoops gloss black to match the wing mirrors and lower section of the front bumper). I've got a small spoiler on the back, but just feel a rear diffuser would finish it off.

The Maxton one for the E85 is awful and I'm just wondering if anyone has any recommendations / ideas. I've had a look on Google but seem to be drawing a blank.

Hi there.

Nice ride!
I definitly would go with this one.
Will find the back-end and the other mods perfectly, and is OEM+ in my eyes ;).
Even there is one for sale (complete bumper) in Germany (asking price 499,- EUR).

Thanks! Now, to brush up on my German.....

As an alternative: the Burkhart engineering carbon rear diffusor for the E85/E86 is an excellent option. I'm looking into this myself for my E86.

Looks epic @RvsBMW! Any pics of the modifications made to suit the quad exhaust?

CJ did one ages ago. I'll see if I can find the link.

Nice one! Like the dual setup of these, the most OME+ look... Sadly no one is making that kind of diffusers, and perhaps that are also functional.

I really like this option...shame the one you've shared is so battered.

The Burkhart one looks just the ticket. It's a bit more than I would want to pay though. Wonder if they would do a group buy price? Failing that it might just be a case splash the cash!

I'd been considering the Burkhart one as well. It's the closest to oem I've seen, and although pricey, it's roughly in line with what the OEM ones have sold for of late (a tad cheaper even) so, in one way, it's a saving!

If there's interest in a group buy, I'd be willing to throw my hat in the ring.

@Calps: If there'd be a group buy, count me in. I believe that makes 3 already?

As for the Burkhart diffusor: I've emailed them already concerning the quad setup. They don't offer an altered version to suit a quad pipe, nor have they any interest in catering such a modification. So if we'd want that, it'd have to be personal modifications done to the finished article. Something to take into consideration.

Burkhart also makes a carbon lip, so try an package deal :).

See now you're talking! If only my bankaccount was so easily swayed. Then again, you only live once and all that...

I've emailed them and asked about a group buy. I'll let everyone know on this thread what they say.

I've just had a look - it's the rear lip you're referring to, right? (I'm not seeing anything for the front, but happy to be corrected).

That looks nice and neat too. Not too much, just nice and subtle.

Big fan of your work idej_z4!

Per RvsBMW's point re the lip - if they're willing to consider including it as well, I'd be interested in the prices for both.
(no desire to lump admin work onto you though, so I'm happy to have that conversation with them if needs be).
