Hi all
I have just put the Z4 in for MOT and among other things it has failed on "Nearside Front Lower Suspension arm ball joint excessively worn (5.3.4 (a) (i))".
Obviously parts wear out but this will be the fourth time I have had to replace the control arms in 35,000 miles, or four years, each of the previous three times I have replaced the pair.
I have used different garages each time, all of which I have used previously with other cars and had no issues.
Does anyone, please, have any ideas what could be causing this?
2019 - 85,281 miles - advisory - replaced x2 as handling was v. poor - Garage A
2020 - 89,665 miles - replaced x 2 (under warranty) - Garage A
2021 - 96,271 miles - replaced x 2 - Garage B
2023 - 108,763 miles - MOT failure - Garage C
EDIT: I have asked the mechanics involved at each replacement other than the first for causes but they've not been able to assist.
