E85 or E89

EDIT - Found

That was a stressful few weeks, but being promoted rather than being made redundant (Thankfully!) after being put at risk... so the search is back on.

Currently Zed-Less - so looking for.....

E85 3.0 - preferably Si but not critical Will consider 2.5Si Manual

Ideally, I’d love an E85 3.0si in Monaco Blue.... but they seldom come up, so my wish list is....

Colours - open to any except Titan Silver, only because I’ve had two silver ones now and fancy a change.

Heated seats, preferably MSport (although MSport not critical as could retro-fit)

Or, an E89 3.0 (non-turbo) or 2.0 Turbo

I’m not interested in the 2.5 or 3.0 turbo’s (for different reasons!)

Other considerations

Budget is a maximum of £9k, maybe £10k for a stunning E89

Car must be HPI clear.

I will consider an Auto for the right car, especially if it’s in Monaco Blue!

Must have evidence of decent servicing - most service histories are not perfect now it seems.

Based in Bristol, but will travel for the right car

Many thanks, feel free to PM

I’ve widened my search criteria,

It seems many actually enjoy the auto... so I’m being open minded and will consider one.

Also, will consider older 3.0’s ....as I should probably have never sold my Sterling grey one

Yes, thanks.

I’m lucky, could have gone either way... but I really enjoy what I do, and I don’t think that’s gone unnoticed throughout the selection and interview process.

There’s one on Autotrader, 2008 3.0Si with 42k on the clock....Won’t mention the price but looks like it might be Monaco? Hard to tell in the light.

Thanks gents, yes I’ve seen that one but it’s very optimistically priced

Defo a Monaco Blue. Very tidy looking but, as you say, very optimistically priced. If you’re happy with an auto it may be worth gong to see it and making an offer you’re happy to pay.

Quick update,

Still looking, Maximum budget is definitely £10k... was considering stretching this, but this is a weekend car that will see mainly summer use (and I have to draw a line somewhere)

Will consider a 2.5Si - but would have to be a manual.

Happy with either modified or standard car

Cheers,

There’s quite a number of E89 4 pot turbo’s in range now, and I’ve also had a PM about a very nice looking E85 3.0Si which definitely seems to be worth attention.

I’m also considering a long distance purchase, so things are happening... I need to get a bit of clarity around exactly what is and isn’t allowed under the current tier system rules!

If you find a suitable car & either can't or don't want to travel i can recommend a chap with lowloader who i've used 5 or 6 times now to collect vehicles & get them to me .
Very professional & vey reasonable costs

Thanks Andy,

Yes I’d be interested, I’ve looked at Shiply for quotes before now, and it can be quite a cost effective method for transporting a car.

There’s a forum car in Scotland that appeals, and the Si I’ve been PM’d about is in Cambridgeshire - Both of these areas are currently Tier 4 but, from what I can tell, it seems it is legal to collect a car from a tier 4 area

He collected the TT early Dec from Oxford & day before yesterday a Q3 from Cambridge for my son , he also delivered my ZC to forum member mid December which meant a trip over the border into Scotland , as far as i know if its for work ( its his full time business) then the journey is allowed .
