E85 Multifunction Wheel Problem

Hi Guy's,

I have an 06 z4 which ive just fitted a multifunction wheel to but it wont work.... any ideas?

I've read some later cars do not have the wiring inbuilt, like on pre September 2003 cars. I'd investigate a bit further behind the dash following the install guide for the pre Sept 2003 cars and see is the connector is wired to anything.
