E85, how do i tell if CCV is int/ext ?

Im new to the E85 and have an excessive oil consumption issue with my 2.0 engine, i believe this maybe CCV related, but have seen online that some E85 have a system internal to the rocker cover, and some a more conventional type below the inlet manifold...... without stripping is there a way to tell ?
 
Define "excessive". Alusil engines can be thirsty out of the factory and anything up to 1 litre per 1000miles is allowable. My N52 2.5 gets about 2000 miles a litre.
