E85 headlight splitting

There isn’t as you can’t split them like you can with older BMWs
 
Pretty sure I've seen info in here somewhere about it though?
It is not designed to be done but is just about doable with a lot of time and care from what I remember.
Whilst it isn't in the 'How To' sections, a more general search may throw up the info you require.

Also, just be sure you are looking in the right area as you have put this in the E89 section but your title says E85.
 
I had my e89 lenses out, right pain to seal them after to stop damp getting in.
I tried heat gun at first but the plastic starts to distort.
Almost impossible to remove the sealant they use once apart.

Seen some put them in a oven, i think got to be brave to do that.
I ended up destroying the lens using a dremel tool to fit the new.

Looks like e85 needs to be cut
