As you know, some cosmetic bits that could be improved over time. But mechanically, you’d just need to order a valve cover gasket and find a time to get it fitted and then you’re away! Happy to share some of the invoices if you’d like; £2k+ spent in last year (admittedly some went on labour), including replacement of diff, rear wheel bearings, new front brake callipers, discs & pads, replacement front wishbones and renewed gearbox oil among other things.
Alternatively, it will be up for sale in April/May with VCG replaced and fresh MOT. But I’ll be asking over your £3200 budget.
Not ruled anything out at the moment, just have alot going on in the background, current landlord has sold our house, we had found somewhere to go but the new landlord pulled out at the last minute to give it to his brother instead, having a nightmare!! have 6 weeks to find a new house for my family so the car stuffs on a backburner a little bit, Still looking and thinking about options when I have time, but its not a priority right now.
That does not look like it will be in budget :? Fantastic work, though.Joycey said:We're about the finish a Z4 in (Cough) which will shortly be coming up on the market, she'll be fit for many years to come. Few photos showing the work. PM me for more info.

You’ll be surprised. The car will be sold at cost, we estimate around the 4K mark. I have a full build thread, haven’t had s chance to copy it over here.

2003 - E85 - 2.5i - Manual - Sterling Grey* - 68,517 miles - 1 year MOT
I'm located in Ipswich, Suffolk so not far from you (~40 miles)![]()
* I'll confirm the colour tomorrow, too cold and dark to check the code right now but it's metallic gunmetal grey whatever BMW call it.
No known major issues, roof motor replaced inc. new drain hole so it won't fail again, RFTs replaced with normal tyres (so much quieter and much gentler ride), wheels refurbed, aircon still works, just passed another MOT with no fails, headlamps done at the same time.
Leather seats, BMW satnav
Let me know![]()

Ooh that looks nice. Especially if it's in the OP's ballpark price wise?

Well, welcome to the forum anyway.BikerDon said:enuff_zed said:BikerDon said:How about my Z4? :happyclap:

Well actually that's why I came to this forum to find out what I should be asking for her. WeBuyAnyCar quoted me a price which I assume is a joke after finding other prices on here and other places on t'Internet![]()
Sad news Ross, but obviously a flash car is not a priority right now.Ozyboyross said:Unfortunately for now my Z4 dream is over, due to my housing situation being all over the place I've had to buy a crappy old banger (Audi A3) for £1000 to commute in and use the rest of my budget to pay a few debts off. So I can spend this year sorting out a deposit to buy a house.....
Im still going to lurk on the forum and one day I am going to own one, but it wont be until after I've bought a house now, and its more likely to be an E89.
thanks for all the help and advice given, I've been overwhelmed by the kindness of the people on here, and one day I will join you all in zed ownership.
