E85 Flat Spot 1500-2000rpm

Hello,

I have a problem with my 2004 Z4 3.0, every time I drive it once the engine has warmed up I experience the following when I plant my foot down between 1500-2000rpm:

+ Violent jerking (feels like the brakes are being applied rather than accelerating!)
+Bogging down
+Sounds like the engine is really struggling and may stall

Once it hits exactly 2000rpm it surges back and pulls exactly how it should.
This seems to occur in all gears but is less noticeable in 1st and 2nd.

Any ideas? I've recently had the oil, oil filter and gearbox oil changes.

I unplugged the MAF and went for a drive, the idle was all over the place but the 'bogging' still occurred.

Thanks!

I would check the air pipe from the airbox to the engine, it could have a split on a bend & be causing a weak mixture due to the air leak after the MAF.

Thank you for the comments. There are no lights on the dash, would you recommend me getting a reader like the link below and checking myself? Or would it only show issues if the engine light is on?
