Manual or auto. Cash waiting for the right car. Centrally located so travel isn't an issue. Around 6k tops.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Depending on how much you know about them it might be useful to know that 2.5 litre facelifts came as either 2.5i (177 bhp) or 2.5Si (218 bhp) models, so you might have a preference. The 3 litres were all 3.0Si (265 bhp).

Facelifts also had 2 trim levels, SE and Sport. The main differences are that Sport models had M-Sport suspension (15mm lower and stiffer), M-Sport steering wheel (fatter rim) and most crucially M-Sport seats that are really sought after. Used ones can fetch up to £1,000.

Anyway good luck finding the right one.

Thanks for the info. Been offered a 2.5 Si with heated seats and sports seat and sport box already I'm looking at it after boxing day.

That sounds promising.

BMW did confuse things a bit though! They called the seats in the SE "Sport" seats and the Sport model seats "M-Sport" seats which are the more deisrable ones.

The Si sears are the same Msoort seats in the E46 and E54 3 and 5 series.
