E85 engines

I currently own a 2.0, 2.2i and a 3.0i
The two 6cyl engines are great but the 3 litre torque and power is by a mile the best, the 2.2 is surprisingly good to drive but keep forgetting it's only got a 5speed box and always has me looking for 6. The 2.0 my first foray into Z4s is great to drive other than the gutless engine , it's possibly as quick as the 2.2 but definitely doesn't feel like it
Do I now need a 3.0si or is the 3.0i almost as good ?
Must get rid of one soon definitely not the 2.2

My 3.0si coupe seems pokier than my 3.0i roadster but neither leave me wanting more on public roads.
I’m more comfortable around the M54 engine so that would be a consideration for the 3.0i.

Interesting, can you clarify what you mean here?
I have only driven M54 3.0i and not N52 3.0si.

Its a personal consideration in that I've pulled many more M54's apart than N52's and find them easier to work on. I've got no opinion on whether one is more reliable than the other. I'm sure I'll do more with the N52's as they get cheaper. The 3.0si is quite a sort after beast and prices generally reflect that.
