E85 engine + automatic gear

Hi all,

I'm deciding on buying a Z4 (E85) with automatic gear. What engine is the best option for this? I was thinking 2.5i because of the fuel usage (on paper), but i can be completely wrong.

Hi Boudewijn,

I've got a 2.5 auto. Fuel economy is about what you'd expect...
I get about 9-10 km out of a litre with combined city/highway driving and about 12ish km to a litre with highway use only. Since I use it as a daily, mine's fitted with LPG

A lot of Z4's are offered in Germany with LPG. Although this one – https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/details.html?id=282882758 – sounds too cheap to be true. Probably turned back the odometer.

Any idea what the break even km is for LPG?
