E85 / E86 offside headlamp washer.

My drivers side headlamp washer has decided to p*ss water out all over my garage floor. Checked pipes and connections last night and it's defo the washer body itself that is leaking. There appears to be some bits of blue coloured silicone type sealant fragmenting out of the body and also around the washer jet head. I'm guessing this must be some kind of internal seal that has failed and fallen apart.

Just wondering if anybody has a spare kicking around their garage they want to sell before stumping up 70 of my hard earned pounds to BMW :x

Are they sided?

I did wonder about this but they defo have a different part number:

6167 7057 452 - drivers side (offside)
6167 7057 451 - passenger side (nearside)

I can't see the fixings being any different so must just be the spray pattern or something. Have pm'd you

Hmm. I thought they'd be the same. The difference must be very subtle so I'm guessing the nozzle isn't aimable? There isn't a part number on the part that I can see.
I thought maybe I could sell one then have a spare had they been identical. Not sure at the moment? Sorry

Understand. If you have two to look at maybe you could cast your eye over them both and see if you can spot any differences. Must admit, can't see the spray pattern being very critical so would be good to know!

From what I can tell, the RIGHT unit when upside down has the hook on the left.
The LEFT unit when upside down has the hook on the right.

I’m planning to cut the bastard open and see what actually fails in true engineering fashion unfortunately!

I did have one of these spare as the new one comes with it.... but God only knows where I put it. I'll have a hunt around the garage tonight, you are welcome to have it for the price of a stamp if I find it.

It's even easier than the hook orientation.. The undersides have L and R respectively...

So I think the washers units are identical
