E85/E86 N52 AFAPOWER Intake Induction Kit, in near new condition as the car had travelled less than 200 miles when removed due to being supercharged. £215 for the complete kit....they cost nearly £500!

What would be the advantage of fitting the above?
Forgive my ignorance, I’m still a novice on all things E86 Coupe :D

Alleged performance gains (AFE quote around 7bhp).

But realistically (and mainly), a great induction noise. That's the only reason i bought it.

The car shows no discernible change in driving characteristics that i can notice but then i doubt i'd notice an additional 7bhp unless it was on a ride-on lawnmower.

I was told there would be an increase of around 17bhp.... But as already stated it`s the lovely sound of the engine from the intake, plus no more filter changes.

Cheers guys for the reply
I figured it would be an improved “acoustics” and that from experience with BMW M3’s better intakes do not = more or rather discernible HP.

But I wanted to know if it would lead to an improved MPH?

Your responses are appreciated guys :D :D :D
