E85/E86 MFSW M Sport, Multi Function Steering Wheel

E85/E86 MFSW M Sport Steering Wheel just removed from my E86 SI Sport.

Pictures show the condition, trims included which could do with a refurb.

Centre trim has some tabs broken which maybe be able to be repaired. When I took the wheel off it was already like this but seem to hold in place ok, the 2 tabs which the screws go into have been repaired with epoxy, they hold firm and the screws go in fine to hold it in place. There is also a small crack on the right hand side trim.

Prices for these seem to be well above £200 on ebay, happy to let this go to a forum member for £150 collected or £165 posted based on the condition and trim, but also open to offers.

I've posted on here first but will put on ebay in a week if no interest.

Cutting compound , a plastic scrapper and some elbow grease will remove all of that failed rubber coating and give you a gloss black finish.
Shame the right hand trim, under the audio control is cracked though.

Rubber coating can be removed with Oven cleaner…Leave on for 20 minutes than scour off with a kitchen pad.
No scrapers or harsh chemicals .

This is now on ebay for £150, item 297405384558. The 2 tabs on the centre trim i've reattached with epoxy and they hold firm and the screws go in fine to hold it in place.

Probably too cheap, but i'd rather get it sold and someone else make use of it instead of it sat around for ages gathering dust.

Just about to pop outside and put this onto my E86, and thought I'd share the "after" shots of the wheel as this is my first time refurbishing one.

Took some time but it looks pretty good now and will continue it's life on another coupe!
