E85/E86 left/nearside door - Carbon Black

Hi, I'm going to ask you what might appear a stupid question but which might may your request a little easier to understand.
Being in the UK and sat; sitting (being seated) in the drivers seat my offside door is the right hand (drivers door) - the left hand (passanger door) being near side to the kerb. If you are in the States or Europe and sat in the drivers seat then right is near side to kerb. Get what I mean? :?
........ or do you mean left or right standing in front of the car and looking at it. I know its clear to you but help the rest of us out
