Bit of a newb question but would these be compatible with my 2004 3.0? I'm in need of a pair and although I'm aware mine should 'really' have the chrome with the orange, I like the look of the silver.

As far as I'm aware, if you currently have xenon headlights, then these should be compatible. Happy to be corrected on that position

Unfortunately I'd concur. The Pre-LCI Xenon has 8 pins, while the LCI has 7 pins. It can be made compatible but will need wire modification or LCM flashing, so not plug and play.

Make sure you have xenon. I wouldn't go as far as saying they are rare, but it is more common to have Halogens. I've done a guide a while back https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=135548

The xenons definitely warrant more money, eye watering prices! That being said, these are actually quite good value considering the condition... if they were compatible with my car, I'd get these off you [ref]wassup[/ref]!

Thanks for the info - definitely xenon, I'm fortunate in that my dad works for BMW and has pulled the spec from the internal dealer system (Air I think its called?) and it is stated there.
