E85 dashboard and centre consol

I have a standard E85 2.5i with brushed aluminium dash and centre consol . Has anyone changed the type of material for carbon or plain black etc.
Can this be done? If so what are the difficulties.

The trim unclips - just be careful not to snap it. Wrapping your current pieces is the easiest way to go, or getting them sent of to be hydro-dipped.
 
I just pulled my dash panel off yesterday. I'm about to wrap mine. It's a pretty easy job, except... the airvents can be a fiddle, as the later models have clips above and below and you need to be an octopus to pull the vent and release the clips at the same time.
Another thing, when my main panel came off, ALL the clips fell behind the dash!! I needed to remove the glovebox to retrieve the clips. Uggghhhh.... :headbang:
I haven't pulled the main console off yet, as I am installing new speakers and wanted to get that job out of the way. I'm kind of dreading it....
