E85 centre consol light between seats - always on?

Noticed the other evening my centre consol light was permanently on - could see a thin sliver of light through the gap.

Can anyone direct me to how it's turned off,as I can't see any pressure switches

there is a little switch plastic strip at the bottom of the flap (inside) that breaks off. this little plastic strip engages with the micro switch to turn the light off.

There is another thread about this where people have fixed it, glueing on a pen lid.

the light does go off a few mins after you take out the ignition key.

Well, not perfect just yet, but a modified plastic raw plug is presently providing just enough pressure on top of it to turn the switch off.
