E85 airbag sensor

Hi guys. But of help if possible.
My E85 failed it's MOT due to the B pillar airbag sensor being broken ie. the airbag light doesn't go out.
My issue is that my BMW specialist cannot get a new sensor anywhere.
He's tried BMW UK and the factory in Germany with no luck.
I a reluctant to go the 2nd hand route as I've heard there can be problems coding the sensor to my car.
So. Any ideas?
I've got a really nice car sitting in the garage going nowhere.
Thanks

Get a photo of the label and post it in here. Then we can help you find a good secondhand one.
With the right software it is fairly easy to code it too.
Where are you? I’ve done a few now but am not exactly central (near Norwich)

And check how wet it is under there. It’s usually damp getting in that kills these

I'm down in sunny Cornwall.
Both airbag sensors had some like coke poured or spilt over them and both had corroded away.
I've replaced one but can't find the other.

Ha! Just drove back today from two weeks in Perranporth!
Ok, tell us the part number and we can cross ref on Realoem to find all the matching numbers.
Whilst I’m not averse to spending time in Cornwall, you may want to find someone closer.

I just realised that we chatted before about this on another thread in which I sent you the info for coding it

Is coding hard? The project zed claims to mane the wrong chassis number for car. I did clear this but it’s come back.

I managed it so not rocket science.

I used [ref]mac27040[/ref]'s, excellent guide: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LdQXN4JM8V0-s6Xa_E9ZeMlkED_i9vpm/edit?usp=drive_link&ouid=108212968183301953622&rtpof=true&sd=true
You need INPA, WinKFP, NCS Expert, Toolset32.

Is [ref]mac27040[/ref] anywhere near you?
If not, speak to [ref]bigwinn[/ref] as he's not a million miles away.

I would help but pointless driving past those guys to get to me.

Thank

Cheers mate, think my best bet will be to tax and insure the project Z and run over to Stuart- only issue with that would be the tamper dot may not be able to be removed from the new LCM due to mileage increase.

So stick the old one back in and fit the new one at Stuart's.

Might be the only option- just have to be a true BMW driver and have no indicators

Stick the hazards on at every junction. They'll be so surprised to see any kind of amber light on a BMW that you'll get right of way everywhere.
