e85 Aftermarket tweeter panels

Hi all,
Not sure if there would be much interest for these but after fitting some new tweeters I wasn't happy with the bodge job I had to do to make them fit, so I made these and got them 3D printed. They're a good fit but some double sided foam may be in order to make them a bit firmer, otherwise they look better than what I had before. They're designed to take a 5mm mount.

I am thinking about making other stuff, the trouble is it's really helpful if I have an actual part to copy from. Having said that those covers look pretty simple, I'd need better pictures and exact measurements...

Thanks. Can't really claim credit for the finish, that's down to Shapeways. But I'm happy with the fit.

Front Bumper clips would be another good one.

I keep hoping we will get one of these at work so the actual part can be scanned and turned into a 3D model in seconds making printing easy.

One of those would be ideal for the people wanting to do the double din screen , get proper contours of radio air vent aperture

Hah - I thought I was the only one that managed to bust one taking the bumper off... :( I managed to glue it back together and it seems to be holding (for now) as I didn't fancy the $75 (£35) (per side) replacement cost.

Those clips look pretty straightforward, don't fancy taking mine off for a reference though. :( Don't suppose anyone has a broken one they don't need anymore?

Mine aren't busted, just a bit slack so whilst my bumper is off for painting I'm swapping them. Already have new ones but I'm sure we could get them printed for a lot less than the £50 a pair.

^ are you sure? They're quite big (bigger than those tweeter panels I think?) and 3d printing is still fairly expensive I think?
The bmw parts are indeed about £25,-/piece online.

How much were those tweeterpanels anyway?

I think there's more to be made with hardtop lock covers.
They arent sold anymore. So it's a sellers market ;)

I thought the tweeterpanel would be smaller but apparently not. I havent measured it.

But still no indication of the price (the tweeter panels are £68). The oem part is 25quid so its only interesting if the printed part is cheaper or much stronger. That also has to be seen.
