I am putting my Aero bumper up for sale as I do not have the space to store it. I can see no others for sale in the UK currently and just one on the continent at 600 euro. I know these come up very rarely, but this one does have some issues, so please read on.
This then is an original BMW Aero front bumper in sterling grey, complete with lower grills, but no fog lights or kidney grills. It was on my Zed when I bought it two years ago and has just been removed in favour of a freshly resprayed standard bumper as I find the styling more to my taste.
The issues mentioned then (see photos also) are a poor quality filler repair to the top edge (filler front and back), some scratches and chips on the underside, a minor filler (?) split on the n/s arch and few of the inevitable stone chips. Some of clips which hold the kidney grills in are also damaged. It looks like these are separate frames which might be possible to replace.
I am offering the bumper for sale as it is for £350, probably as cheap as you’re ever likely to find one, if you can find one at all, for you to have the repairs done when you get it resprayed to your own colour requirements. There may be an option for me to get it repaired and leave it in primer for your paint shop to colour and lacquer, but clearly the price would need to increase. Something we can discuss if you’re genuinely interested. With such a big item collection would be preferred (from Taunton, Somerset, social distancing obviously) but I can discuss options with a potential buyer.
