Ok.

Just for a bit of fun and out of curiosity, if you could have bought your zed in any colour you wanted what would you have gone for. I'm thinking mainly BMW colours myself but feel to post anything you like. Except Katie Price Pink, I'm drawing the line at that!

4 years ago when I was starting to think about buying a zed I quite liked the Hellrot red ones I saw, it was quickly becoming my second choice colour. Just the face lift ones though, as the orange indicators just looked terrible to my eyes with the red.
In the end I went with my 1st choice of silver but I always wondered what a zed would look like in the later silver shades that the BMW/Mini Group cars come in. Things like the Ice Metallic Silver etc.

I've also though if I ever went down the M route what colour would I go for then, that brought me back to thinking about Hellrot, surely a Hellrot M would be a stunner, why did they never do it? I know there's Imola but its just not as striking for me and why not offer Hellrot as well? It was still in production on the lesser models.

Right, over to you lot!

Pink
light blue with light blue interior  (saw one online while shopping for my Z4 - still having nightmares - can't unsee that, it was the interior that ruined that one for me)

I like my Titanium Silver Metalic with black interior.
But if I had another choice, I would favor the Silver Grey Metallic (with red M Seats)

I decided on Sterling grey with red upholstery and then waited for the right colour combo car to come along in good unmolested condition. Pleased I waited even though it took 3 months to find the right one.

My wife's MINI Countryman is this colour and it's an amazing colour in the sunlight it's a sort of metallic purpley blue

Ford 'Imperial Blue' - my st200 was in that its another purple blue colour

Can't beat blue - now on my seventh blue car

Estoril blue with cream upholstery

Monaco Blue is a bitch colour to keep clean but every now and again when the sun hits it just right it just goes POW!!!

Technoviolet with black dash/doors and beige seats

That said, if my car (black sapphire) needs paint I’d be tempted to go with carbon black - since I had a carbon black E36 convertible before my E85

Scratch my post..... this may just beat technoviolet and carbon black

I'd like the E86 in Mazda Sunburst Yellow HZ, the same colour as my Eunos and have very nearly pushed the button on having the 911 done the same, except SWMBO says she wants it to remain Basalt black. :?
I would say however that the MontegoBay blue that the E86 is, is a lovely colour.

When I was looking for my 1st E86 I'd just had over 6 years in a silver 1 Series with black interior - so it had to be something else!

I've never liked black, but I got impatient and told myself Ruby Black wasn't really black, but in the UK it certainly looks it 99% of the time. But on the right sunny day it looks fantastic! Although if I had found a Space Grey one with red leather that would have been really tempting.

When I was looking for my 2nd one I ruled out HellRot (I'd probably still be looking) so it had to be Montego Blue and seats that weren't black, otherwise with the black Sport headlining it'd be like sitting in a coffin.

But if BMW had offered Valencia Orange on the E86 that would definitely have been my 1st choice.

I wanted Sepang Bronze but couldn't justify the running costs with an M.
Second choice was blue but choice went out the window when I was offered a good trade in for my TR6, so settled for Black

Deep pearl blue from my old R32.
