E85/6 half-leather, heated Sport seats - £450ono

In great condition, with some small marks/creasing to outside bolsters as you'd expect with something of this age. Before fitting them to my car, I wet-vac'd the fabric, and deep-cleaned and recoloured the leather bolsters. Only selling as I'm replacing with E89 seats (see my ownership thread for details).

I'm based in Norfolk NR20 for collection or delivery within reason. £450 or nearest offer.

It’s a good deal. Arguably these are the best seats. They are heated, the manuals have a wider range of movement and are lighter than the motorised seats, and the half-leathers don’t get boiling hot in the summer.

All for half the price of a “normal” m-sport seat.

Very kind of you to say so. I agree with all of those points, but the main reason I bought them was because the fabric centres are much grippier than the leather Sport seats. No more sliding around when you're cornering quickly.

Interested but logistics could be a challenge. PM sent…

Dave, would you be able to post some more photos please when you can.
Close ups of bolsters and creases, more general shots.
Thanks very interested.

Will do. Annoyingly one of them is currently not with the car, so I'm not going to be able to get photos of it until the weekend.

Thanks Dave, no problem at all and no immediate rush. I appreciate your help.
Also I would be really interested in knowing the weight if you had some scales to hand at the same time.
Cheers

No idea where I'd find a scales to fit them on, to be honest. I've found a fairly reliable figure for the electric seats of around 28kg each, and I'd say that these are a good 5kg lighter than that due to the lack of leccy.

Stand on the scales, take reading, then lift the seats and stand on the scales again

My method once I find my wife's scales and set them to metric as all that stone / pounds stuff means nothing to me :D

I have to hope this is for postage reasons only, as once you have parked your carcass in them, the slight difference will be negligible. :D

It's the "finding the scales bit" that's the problem. I don't own any.

😆 Don’t worry Dave, just wondered for postage and if they were easily liftable etc.

I’m wondering if I can take out my passenger seat, come to you, bolt in replacement passenger seat. But then somehow with lots of protection, maybe removal of the rails sit the extra drivers seat on top to get me home, roof down of course. Anyone tried such an undertaking??😬
It obviously won’t fold to go in the boot. Otherwise I’ll need to exchange seats locally if anyone would want my park bench’s.
Shame you’re so far away.

I suggest you bring [ref]Usel[/ref] into the discussion. He's not far away and may possibly be interested in your old seats as he's always looking for donors to make up the next good set.

That’s I great idea thanks. He’s just sold me a wind deflector. I’ll see if I can work something out. Cheers

According to Usel (The Seat Whisperer), it's not possible to get two additional seats in a Z4 with full interior, which comes as no surprise. But it may be possible to get a single extra seat in. I wonder if anyone has tried? :D

On the subject of getting rid of your park benches, I wouldn't get too precious about recouping any money. Mine were black leather, heated and electric, and they hung around for ages. I think I got £50 for them in the end.

If you split the backs from the bases you may get a seat base and back in the boot and a seat back in the passenger footwell.

The seat base could then be posted in a box 60 x 60 x 40?

Seriously decent price. Paisley freight shipped to me when I bought mine.
Cheers. It's what I paid for them, minus the time/materials to tidy them up. No need to try and make a profit on them.
