E85/6 Cruise control delivered from the States

Are these NLA from bmw? They’re showing on real oem for around $100 but a few on eBay from the baltics are £300-£400!
I thought someone sourced some from China for a very low price recently too?

I don't believe realoem prices get updated. I'd say they list the original rrp price.

If you went to your local BMW dealer this would likely be the current price:

You can find them for around £225 new at other online retailers.

Cheapest price with a 10% code is £207:

The Chinese ones on aliexpress were second hand units. Which seem out of stock.

Thanks very much Rob, I bagged it. 👍🏻

You'll need to speak to [ref]srhutch[/ref] for the wiring loom as you have a facelift

The wiring is around £75 and is quite messy. You can get a cheap one from Ebay for £29.

Tried it and it works, I did inform the seller the wiring was about 10 inches too short and had to piece it up but it worked. Now have my stalk fitted in my 2007 E86.

Was unsure how it worked at first even with the arrows in it, but understand it now.

Uk Cruise control prices are extreme. They are still available through the network though.

I fitted one last month to my sons car. No idea what they retail at though as he got his on staff discount.

I had cruise control retrofitted recently, bought one of these from this seller for the wiring loom, it's correct for my RHD car.

This eBay link is for pre lci and srhutch on here will make up a loom for a lot less than this anyway.

So you used this on your 2008??

I think that’s not correct. Only post-LCI cars required the retrofit cable. Pre-LCI cars (definitely the early ones) were plug and play.

Either way, srhutch’s loom is much simpler, comes with instructions, and costs half as much.

I will be doing mine this weekend.

That’s what I thought but the ad said pre.
Hmm
Anyway support Srhutch everyone and pay less for him to do it everyone. I got mine through yesterday

I really should have got a loom from srhutch, but I bought it before I joined the forum. But yes, the loom I got (apart from being expensive, clearly), is the correct BMW one for the LCI car.

Excuse my ignorance, but I've a Nov 2006 E86.
Is it pre or post LCI????

Well that’s a lci (so post) but they didn’t make any coupes before the facelift.

Having read the instructions for the retrofit ( :o ) it is clear that:

- only pre 10/04 cars were pre-wired
- connection at the DME end is different for M54 (pre-LCI), N52 (post-LCI) and S54 (M) cars, although the loom is the same.
