E85 3.0si - do E46 coilovers fit?

Hi

From my knowledge, the e85 is quite closely related to the e46

My friend is selling his almost new fk racing coilovers from his e46 coupe. The same as these

My q is - although the weights Are slightly different on the cars, surely new coilovers will be better than 100k mike worn m sport suspension ?
 
I think an e46 strut is longer than an e85 strut.

Remove your own struts, measure the length (in full length) and compare them to your mates'


But cheap coilovers are still cheap shock absorbers.....
A better brand will give you a better product.

Dont fit them if they're more than 15mm longer than your msport suspension.
If your struts are too long, you can seriously damage your car when going over a bump or so (the control arm will move further into droop than normally possible)
