*UPDATED ORIGINAL POST TO SIMPLIFY AND PICS UPDATED*
I have my 2006 3.0si Auto sport w/ paddle shift up for sale due to having a family and a work van I simply don’t drive it much anymore, a bigger car is needed for the baby and push chair. I have done just over 1000 miles in it since its last MOT in August 2017, and it is garaged when not in use.
Excellent example of a 3.0si, the body work is in great shape with no swirls to the paintwork, aside from the odd stone chip on the front, and a slight scrape on the underside of the passenger front corner of the bumper. 6 months ago I gave it a 3 stage machine polish to remove any swirls to the paintwork. The roof has also been treated, so water just rolls off the car.
The car has some minor modifications, which are as below.
• Stubby aerial (Original included)
• Machine Monkey exhaust tips (Originals included)
• One bit of foam removed from sound generator (which I still have)
• HIDS (lights are Auto also)
Today 14/07/18, I had the roof motor refurbished and relocated in the boot with Mike at The Zed Shed who is from the forum, excellent work!
Mileage is currently at 92009 which is where it will probably stay, as it is not a daily drive, and 3800 miles till the next service.
Since ownership there have been a few things that I have done as below.
• Replaced passenger rear coil as it snapped (common) with the help of JINGLE. I have also another spare coil in case the other goes which will come with the car, but at the moment the other seems fine.
• Rear bumper replaced in January. This was done as someone rolled in the bumper and creased the plastic. The repair was done by COOPER BMW Norwich and they also replaced the third brake light also so no cracks or water ingress.
• The car already had the guides for the wind deflector on the roll bars and in the boot so I bought a damaged deflector and made it good. There is a bit of epoxy you can see but you wouldn’t really notice.
• Obviously a full detail of the exterior, and a spruce up of the engine bay.
• Recently had 2 new rear tyres
• I also machined the headlights to remove any yellowing to the lenses.
• Hardwired Nextbase 420G dashcam
The car has never been ragged, I value my licence and my car.
Interior is clean and in good condition, some minor pits on the centre console, most likely where the previous owner perhaps tapped a ring on the metal, it’s the only explanation I have for it.
Last MOT passed and the only advisory was slight surface corrosion to a brake pipe.
Bad points….
• Marks to alloys
• Slight scuff to underside corner of front passenger side of the bumper
• Odd stone chip to the front of the vehicle
Tyre depths FL 5.0mm FR 5.2mm RL 6.2mm RR 6.4mm
I need to shift the car as I have ordered a new car but need to sell this to complete the order.
£6000ono.
