Wanted - Anyone thinking of selling their 2006 on E85 3.0si Auto - Black, Dark Blue or Silver Grey. Below 70k miles.

Hi,

Notice that people are seeking Manuals and there are fears about a huge price slump once the current high price trend is over, but I am not particularly worried. For me, life is too short.

I just want to enjoy the car whilst I can.
 
you just missed a good one I think that came up a couple of day after I bought my 3.0i :cry:

this one came up on my auto trader search:

Cheers for the Ad, but I am not keen on the roof colour or wood dash/centre console

I agree, it looks terrible. However, I think it's stuck on. Looks like brushed aluminium is under the dash to me so with some effort you may be able to simply take it off and clean it up. I'm guessing - what do others think?

Also, dashboard and console trim comes up for sale on here and can be wrapped. Given your healthy budget, you could just change it to your requirements. Not sure how much a new or used black roof is.

I am afraid to say that I just do not want the hassle of Dashboard and Centre Console change especially with the budget. The roof does not suit my taste either - my preference is Black.
 
Nah, why ruin the look by sticking nasty aluminium on it.
That glorious natural wood looks great

Hi, Thanks for the tip, the car has sketchy service history - stamps in the book but no dates to match. Apparently it has not had service any stamps in the book for the last 5 years, although the dealer was informed by the owner, that it was serviced often - however no receipts etc. UMMH?

Perhaps I am too fussy these days.

I like the Piano Black dash and Centre Console, but not keen on the Aluminum Trim - since it reminds of work being a retired Mechanical Engineer.
 
You may need to live with certain features unless you are prepared for a long wait!

Based on that it seems only 963 3.0Si Roadsters were registered in the UK and just 268 were Autos. You can even filter to see how many there were with each type of interior trim!

So it might be worth accepting brushed aluminium and plastidip or a wrap. Or buying piano black parts - they do come up for sale now and again, but aren't cheap.

Anyway good luck finding the right one. :thumbsup:
 
As you say, it looks like I will have to make a compromise on the dash board front as I did quite a few years ago.

Hi Bill, I am intending to sell my carbon black 3.0si roadster auto 2008 plate if you are interested - I have been putting it off for months as i did not want to sell but money is now running low following redundancy (I was in hospitality). It has had 2 owners including me - it drives beautifully, has a good documented service history (by a local BMW indy) and it has been garaged overnight since purchase (Dec 2014). Mileage is a little higher than you would want at 97k and (so you do not get your hopes up too high) it does have a few little issues but nothing drastic. Only a few small mods as listed below in my signature and I also still have a full set of the original MV2s which will new a refurb plus the original and genuine whippy!
