Arghh! what a shame, look stunning - especially on those wheels - but I have been told that I really should get a manual

Rob, as others have said what’s the reason behind you “really should get a manual” is this a personal preference or other’s point of view? The reason I ask is we had at least one 3.0 Si auto (Coupe) on the run at the weekend and it most definitely didn’t struggle and the owner seemed to be having as enjoyable a time as the others and at no point gave any indication that they were missing out on anything by having an auto.

It really is a case of get out and try them. Just remember to try different things like sports mode/manual mode/paddles etc

Hi Rob just read message,I try & get more photos when free,& pictures of Service books,Appreciate you are a long way,the car is a Gem,these cars are going up in Value as Future Classics, so you won't loose your money,if we'll looked after your gain money..

Cheers Andy, and you are right, I'm sure I'd love the car and the drive just as equally - I think it's part of the whole purist driving experience. I work for a car magazine, so am surrounded by journalists who have driven everything, admittedly i have driven some amazing auto's - but I can see why they would say that the manual is the one to have. I will approach this with a little bit more of an open mind and try and drive an auto zed too. Thanks for the input all.

I'm considering selling my 2004 3.0i manual, we currently have 3 cars and I'm thinking of going down to 2 cars with 4 seats instead. So eyeing up e92's for myself. It's on 129k though from memory. However, it's in excellent condition, has style 108 wheels with spaces, eibach springs, recent dampers, New Meyle HD control arms, drop link and top mounts, etc. Plus the rare M-Sport electric and heated seats (rare on a pre facelift model and about £1k to buy second hand).

I can go into more detail if interested. But would be looking for around £5k. Based in Nottingham

Thanks Darryl, I've sent you a message
