E85 3.0 Tax from April 1st - yikes

Hi all.

Just been discussing this on a group chat but it looks like the road tax on the 3.0 Z's pre 2006 which pump out 231g/km will be going up to £565 per year.

Not a great scenario unless we are reading this wrong somehow? .

I don't think so - as GWest says cars registered before 23 March 2006 are still taxed in Band K as they have been for quite a while.

That's why some really early M Roadsters fall in Band K.

It would only affect pre-facelifts with that level of CO2 emissions that sat around and got registered after that date because all the facleifts just creep below 225g/km AFAIK.

I think it might just be automatics that fall into the higher band L.
So only pre-facelift automatics registered after 23rd March 2006?
