Occasional discussions in the past have told me in the past it ain’t really worth it as they can only get about another 15 BHP.
A local company say they can get an extra 20 BHP for £130.
Thoughts/ comments please?
TIA

I can understand what you are saying to a point but remapping when done by the right person is not all about bhp gains . If you get it done properly one major benefit is you will get more power available lower in the rev range where it is needed . Useable power at the right time rather than big power gains![]()

Hi Rob,
I don`t know what it would be on the 2 ltr and what I am saying is it`s not just about bhp gains when remapping it`s more ( for me ) about getting the power in the right useable area . I have read some posts on this forum from other forum members saying the same thing . Tuners come out with all sorts of quotes about what they can get but if you find yourself a company/tuner that knows what they are doing then it can make a considerable difference to how your car performs . I think that for the amount that jock156 is being quoted it may not be a great remap but find the right person and even if you get no bhp gains the power will be where you want it .
I recently answered a query about a remap here and it has a link to my printout etc https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=133051
In a nutshell - remap done by the right person should get you a better driving experience even if you don`t get an increase in BHP .![]()
