E85 2006 Roof open/close noise

Quick question:

Raising/Lowering the roof sometimes produces weird sound like the motor is struggling. Eventually the roof opens/closes successfully and it doesn't always sound like that. But the noise is worrying.

Anyone had this problem before? Is it damaged motor? Rust? Or should I just renew the hydraulic fluid?

If the motor is in the boot and accessible, squirt a little WD40 in the slots and also give it a vey gentle tap with a hammer. It sounds like the motor sticking on a dry contact
