Hey guys.

Looking at doing a service on my Z4 2006 2.5i.
I'm trying to book in with zedshed, but it seems impossible to get in contact with him to book it.
I usually do all my cars myself anyway but wanted the specialist eye over it, ah well..

Any recommendations on oil, oil filter, air filter, spark plugs etc..?

Thank you guys, much appreciated!

PFA my new Z4 :)

What mileage are you on? Some will disagree, but it’s not massively important what brand you buy so long as buy stuff that’s in spec.
I use Mann filters, or Bosch if I can’t get them
Millers oil - fully synthetic LL04 5W40 (5W30 is specified, but I think the thicker oil is better for higher mileages).
Denso spark plugs. You can spend a lot on spark plugs, but I’ve never noticed any difference in ordinary road use.

I would agree with the 5w40 statement! I'm on 108,xxx at the minute.

Got all this in the basket ready to purchase, only about £130 odd which seems reasonable.

I get the oil filter directly from BMW, and I shop around for the other parts. If you are doing your own servicing, write up a long explanation of what you did, measure brake disc and pad thickness, tyre depth etc, along with any observations, print it and place it in the car's documents.

Absolutely. I do this with all the cars I service for myself and friends! Has to be done! ✅

Far better to do it all yourself if your capable and can raise the car enough to get under it, good deals on oils from Opie Oils on their web site. Not surprising you cant get hold of the Northern Zedshed, best avoided, do research on here for dissatisfied owners on here who have had problems with them.
