Hi All,

I am a new member here, not sure have anyone have done that before from SMG 6 speed convert to Manual 6 speed.
I need help here my actuator and hydro pump failed, going to cost me a bomb to replace it.

I am planning to convert it to a manual gearbox instead of maintaining a SMG.

I need information on what are the parts needed for the conversion. Can someone please advise me ?

Thank you for reading

We'll never heard of it being done but you will need to code the car to remove Smg, what about gear stick, gearbox etc

Been done many times.

Speak to quarry motors to see if they can help with parts and install or just the parts

If they cant do coding then i know man who can

Hey,

I'm currently breaking a 3.0i Manual, so should have all parts required. 89k miles, owned and run by myself since 65k miles. Feel free to drop me a pm when you know the parts list and we cans ee if we can sort something out.

Would have thought it would be cheaper just to get a other reconditioned smg box then to convert it to a manual.... After all you'll need the gearbox, ancileries, pedals, coding, and then the labour to fit it all.

Also when you come to sell it will need to explain why it says auto on the V5 but is a manual.

I'm not sure I'd bother, can't see how it will be any cheaper than replacement parts/box/car even if it is possible.
