E85 2.5i prop centre bearing care

Hi, being new to Z4's but a long serving defender owner I was curious as to what maintenance if any Z4 owners do to the propshaft. I've notice a slight wearing noise from mine, nothing too concerning but after a bit of googling I've learned there's a centre bearing on the Z4 props and it's probably from that. So my question is, do people routinely grease the propshafts on Z4,s, i.e. The splined section and the universal joints and I'm guessing this centre bearing too? If so how easy a DIY job would it be, is it better to just renew the centre bearing, or is it likely to be a nightmare to get at. Thanks in advance

You can get a knock sound from the prop when moving off in 1st and reverse. Coating the splined section in a special liquid metal grease made by Loctite (cant remember its name) sorts this. Its a proper BMW fix as well. Its been mentioned on here before. That's how I found out about it!

Thanks I plan to crawl under it as when driving on a bumpy road it sounds like most of the undercarriage is about to drop off 🙁🙈
