Has anyone replaced this? I'm wondering if it's possible to do without removing the air intake manifold as this seems like a bit of a faff.

Never done it and I'll be honest I cannot visualise exactly where it is.
However, I have managed to find clear instructions which may be useful to you?

Just had a look at Realoem and it looks relatively accessible from the left side near the rear of the block.
Not got one here to check so I guess it depends how easily you can get your hands in there.
I'd think if you were working blind then the biggest issue would be the risk of not getting the tool straight and rounding off the securing screw.

Switching the actual sensor looks like it will be easy enough if I can get access to it. A google search gave mixed results, some were saying the intake manifold needs to be removed whilst others said it was not necessary. I've had a look from underneath the car but I couldn't see it at all. Will check again tonight though. From what I can see removing the manifold should be fairly easy, just a bit faffy and time consuming. Have you done this before?

No I haven't.
Have a look at the starter motor and how easy that is to access.
May be easier to remove that as the sensor is right under it?

Think the intake manifold may have to come out to remove the starter also but I'll check again tonight. Thanks
