The rears don’t look good at all to my eyes. These M3 alloys don’t really seem to work on the Z unfortunately.

I agree. I'm not a fan of stretched tyres.
I know that is probably within the limits of being a safe stretch. Must be less than 1 inch there. But it must have a seriously detrimental effect on the handling.
It's one of those things though, some love the look, some hate it.

I’m not sure you’ve totally cured your rubbing issue & opened up a bigger can of worms.

Hit one of the many U.K. potholes hard & it looks like you could be looking at rim & bodywork contact.

I thought the earlier suggestion of skimming 5mm off the offset was the cheapest, easiest & best out the box solution on this thread.

Il go total opposite to everyone else and say I’d actually add some camber and space it out a bit . Looks good though .

Hmmm i can't say i'm wowed in any aspect these M3 wheels aren't Bmws greatest achievement when it comes to looks & in all the pics of other Zs with them on they are polished (as they should be) with darker inners which at least gives a more bespoke finish to the eye , have you considered having them refurbed back to original finish ?
H & Rs no matter the car imo always drop 15mm too much & for me visually once the rubber disappears above the arch the look is all wrong but i accept that may well be the look you crave .
Machine Monkey had these 19s on his Z , he had 4-5mm removed off the rear hubs to gain the "perfect" fit which allowed for a full tyre even on a lowered car , if you intend keeping maybe that's a possible solution ?
Bearing in mind its a car at some point functionality has to factor & unless you plan to only use for tootling to the shops i can't see how you won't get rub with the slightest dip / compression .

What size are those rear tyres? They look extremely unbalanced with the front tyre fitment. Will you be under sizing the fronts to match the look of the rears?

Personally I'd have raised it, added camber, 'slightly' downsized the tyres and then rolled the arches if necessary. Skimming wheels would be a last resort for me but with all the above done it might not be necessary.

Cleaned her up before and took for a good roof down ride - the wheels are mint and having had them all balanced the car no longer pulls to the left which it was doing on the 108’s. The ride is vastly improved, no doubt due to having none run flats on but it’s comfortable and runs straight and true. No catching on the arches other than the front on full lock sometimes touching the inside under braking so a spacer should help that. The rear tyre was extreme as the 255/35 was touching the lip and putting on a 255/30 then a 245/35 then a 245/30 then a 235/35 etc etc just isn’t an option so I had to go for the most extreme first to see if it would work then I can go up in size now with each change until some rubbing occurs - however this has been done without skimming the wheels (no thanks!) rolling the arches (paint cracking risk) and my 108’s can easily go back on and these sold on if desired - but given how nice they look (IMHO - I would have preferred the polished/black look but I got these for £500 with tyres) and how nice they ride they’ll be staying

Thanks mate I’ve only had it 3 weeks and part of the reason for putting these wheels on was because on here many said it couldn’t be done or would need lots of work so I liked the challenge ha - I also sort of like that they’re ‘marmite’ wheels as if everyone loved them then everyone would do it and it wouldn’t be as unique :lol: but I love the low/wide stance and as per this pic of my 4 series this is slammed on 20’s and also unable to get a car jack underneath and I like that look so I’m happy here 8)

Not doin it for me aesthetically I'm afraid and I think from a practical aspect I'd be too scared to even drive it with those superstretched rears!



But as long as ur happy that's all that matters.

Thanks - Just trying to work out what size spacers to use - the offset is ET47 so thinking maybe 15mm?

I wasn’t too keen about the idea of this either but looked into it over and over and no danger from what I can see and read. It drives soooooo much better now though on these than the 108s with run flats

Amended - it sometimes does that on my iPhone when doing the quick quote for some reason
