Anybody here who has been using E10 for months already?

There are rumors to the effects of E10, some saying it is bad for the fuel lines, increases gas consumption, but some say there is no effect. Other European car owners claim that their check engine lights came on when they filled up with E10.

Those running on E10, what has it been like?

When I have been forced to buy gas with ethanol I will get about 2 miles per gallon less and for that reason I try to avoid ethanol.

Unsuitable for any BMW as per our dealer info. It specifically warns to NOT use that.

Yeah i wouldnt bother - Even E5 in our Tesco 99 makes my car drink AT LEAST 2-3mpg more than usual :(

Been driving on E10 for 3 months now, nothing to report.
Concerning consumption, i can't really tell, because of the hollyday period (it went down 1 liter /100 km... as every year... :D).

Anyway, BMW Germany issued a press statement last year, stating that all BMW cars produced after 1998 were "compatible" with E10.
Since the Z4 E85 was introduced in 2003 with engines introduced in 2000, i think it safe to say that we can put E10 in our cars without worry.

I dont think we get E10 in the UK, although BP102 may use it to bring up the octane.

Im pretty sure that the closest we get is Tesco 99 which is 5% Ethanol (E5) and 3% Methanol...
